ATTENTION 361 REUNION
INFORMATION

Short status report regarding 361 activities at Popasmoke
reunion.
There are always changes in something of this magnitude. Doing my
best to sort out our stuff from Popasmoke.
We will attend morning practice of the Friday Sunset Parade at
Marine Barracks 8th & I. Popasmoke stubbed their toes on this one.
There is not space enough for 2500 Popasmokers. Arrangements have
been made to accommodate about 250.
We had already planned our luncheon at the Mess Hall, National
Marine Heritage Museum. That 'mess hall" ain't your Daddy's mess
hall. Initial plans were to leave the Hotel at 0900 Friday and motor
out to the museum, Spend the day, including our Squadron luncheon
and then return to the hotel motor out to. see the evening parade.
The best deal I have been able to arrange is Popasmoke will take us
out to 8th & I for the morning parade practice. Our transportation
will pick us up at 8th & I at 10:30 for the trip to Quantico. Ron
will arrange lunch for us at 12:00. Tour the Museum. (Please note
Ron. Hope this does not upset your applecart. I noted you thought
you could change the time. Might as well also to charge an even $15
for the lunch. Cost of motoring out to Quantico will be $30 a head.
Pricey, but it's the same good deal Popasmoke is offering.)
The next item is the "goodies". Popasmoke builds a little excess
in their fees and has moneys from memberships. We don't have that.
Scott has located a place in Florida that makes really good hats.
They will a 34 on one side and a 53 on the other. These hats cost
$13.25 with tax included for an order of 50. The price diminishes
some with a larger order. 50 hats will cost $662.50. Obviously I
need to know how many hats you folks want. We are starting at a zero
base so you can see I have to collect information from you early
this summer.
And finally. Our Hooch comes with ice. Ice is no good if you
don't have something that needs cooling as in hi-ball, beer and soft
drinks. Will start with a small stock of each of those things that
need cooling. Then we will have a bowl which hopefully you will
contribute to keep the drinks flowing.
It's a plan. Will cost a bit here and there but we are amusing
ourselves on our bucks. I have seen some of you guys in action so I
know this plan will pretty much cover everything we need.
Please get signed up so this very old coordinator can relax some.

SQUADRON LUNCHEON
Our Luncheon for the Popasmoke reunion is set up at the Marine
Corp Museum and a Squadron Luncheon is set for Friday, 15 August, 2008.
. Our
Luncheon will be from 1200 till 1400 in the Mess Hall of the Museum.
