Hello, My name is Alan Weiss,

On December 1, 1966, I arrived at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina assigned to Platoon 126.

After boot camp, I completed my advanced training at Camp Geiger N.C. From there I went to Naval Air Station at Memphis, Tennessee for basic helicopter school training.

Upon graduation from helicopter school, I was assigned to HMH-361 at New River, N.C. I was here for approximately two and a half years serving as a crew chief . My Squadron was sent to Vietnam in 1969. We were stationed at Marble Mt, Air Base in Da Nang. During the 6 months I was there, I served with a great bunch of guys but also lost some very good friends. If anyone reading this also served with HMH-361 during this time, I would like to hear from you. I received an Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps on December 2, 1970 with the rank of Sgt. I now wish I had stayed in longer.

Presently I reside in Cutchogue, New York with my lovely wife, and 4 beautiful children.

Cutchogue is a small town on the east end of Long Island in the "New Wine Country".

I am a Parts Manager for a local Ford Lincoln Mercury dealer.

Please check out my Photo pages, Sounds of Marine Corps Boot Camp and Tribute To All Veterans page. These pages take awhile to load but its worth the wait.

Thank You
