I'm looking for anyone that saw or knows about TWO AH-1s that were lost to small arms abt 2000 meters due west of A-2 abt AUG or SEP of 1970. This loss is not in DoD, DoD/DPMO records and did result in the capture of one pilot(BK Seat) of one of the Cobras...He appeared not wounded at the time of capture... But think he was killed later
as in that time frame a FO/ Sundowner Sierra observed a larg white man... "...Naked, large white man staked out in an area of little folage near the Ben Hai River, was there two days." Sierra said this was just north of the location that I gave.
I would like to hear from anyone that knows anything abt this loss...event....
